Tupac Shakur, also known as 2Pac, was an influential American rapper, actor, and social activist. Born on June 16, 1971, in East Harlem, New York, he became one of the most iconic figures in hip-hop. Known for his powerful lyrics addressing issues such as poverty, police brutality, and racial inequality, 2Pac's music resonated with fans worldwide. His albums, including All Eyez on Me and Me Against the World, are considered among the greatest in hip-hop history. Beyond his music, Tupac was known for his activism and outspoken views on social justice. Tragically, he was murdered in a drive-by shooting on September 13, 1996, at the age of 25, leaving behind a lasting legacy that continues to influence artists and activists today.
